## How it works

1. Connect your calendar and turn on joining preferences, or paste a meeting link into Invite Circleback.
2. Circleback joins the Google Meet meeting as a participant. The host may need to admit it.
3. To record without a bot, use the desktop app for macOS or Windows instead.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can Circleback record Google Meet without a bot?

Yes. The desktop app for macOS and Windows records your microphone and computer audio, so no bot joins the call.

### What if Circleback can't join the Google Meet meeting?

The host may need to admit it, depending on the meeting's settings. If the bot's join request is denied while you're on the call and you have the desktop app, Circleback prompts you to record from the desktop app. It starts on its own only with Start recording automatically on. A waiting-room kick or removal from the call is not a trigger.

### Is it free?

Yes. Recording with the meeting bot or the desktop app is included on every plan, including Free.
