# Notion integration

> After each meeting that matches your automation, Circleback creates a new Notion page under a page you pick, or a new entry in a database you pick. Pages hold the AI notes, action items, AI insights and transcript you choose. Database entries fill the properties you map, such as meeting date, notes, action item assignee and custom insight fields.

## How it works

1. Open Automations in Circleback and select New automation.
2. Run it after every meeting, or only for meetings that match tags, meeting name, participants or invitee email domains.
3. Choose Notion and connect your Notion account.
4. Pick a parent page or a database. If it's missing, add Circleback under ⋯ → Connections in Notion.
5. For a page, choose which outcomes to include: AI notes, action items, AI insights or the transcript. For a database, map each outcome to a property.
6. Save the automation. To check the result, run it by hand on a past meeting.

## What you can do with Notion

- Creates a new page under the page you pick, or a new entry in the database you pick, after each matching meeting.
- Maps meeting name, meeting date, notes, transcript, AI insight results, individual insight fields, and action item title, description, assignee name and assignee email to title, text, number, URL, email, phone, date and checkbox properties.
- Creates one entry per meeting by default. Mapping action item fields creates one entry per action item. Mapping an insight that returns several results creates one entry per result.
- Ask Circleback to search your workspace, create and update pages, and add comments.

## Frequently asked questions

### Why doesn't my page or database show up?

Notion only shares the pages you connect. Open it in Notion, select ⋯ → Connections and add Circleback.

### Can Circleback fill in database properties?

Yes. When you pick a database, you map meeting outcomes to properties. You can map meeting name, meeting date, notes, transcript, AI insight results, individual insight fields, and action item title, description, assignee name and assignee email. Supported property types are title, text, number, URL, email, phone, date and checkbox. Custom AI insights can use custom fields, so a database can hold structured columns such as next steps, decisions or a customer's concerns. By default each meeting becomes one entry. If you map action item fields, each action item becomes its own entry. If you map an insight that returns several results, each result becomes its own entry.

### What happens to existing Notion pages?

Circleback automations never change them. Each matching meeting creates a new page or database entry. Each new page is titled with the meeting name and starts with a link to the full meeting in Circleback.

### Can I send just client meetings to Notion?

Yes. Add an invitee email domains condition with your client's domain, for example acme.com. Meetings that match the condition go to Notion. Conditions can also use tags, meeting title, participants, invitee emails and number of invitees.

### Can I choose which meetings it runs on?

Yes. Conditions limit an automation to meetings with certain tags, meeting names, participants, invitee emails, invitee email domains or number of invitees. Without conditions, it runs after every meeting.

### Is Notion on the Free plan?

No. Notion automations need Pro or above. Asking Circleback to search Notion works on every plan.
